About Louden King
Louden King is a primarily instrumental, original Canadian rock band, starring Louden King himself. Louden is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from the quaint Steinbach, Manitoba.
Beginning his musical journey through drums at the age of 4, he developed a strong interest and understanding for audible artistry. He began playing guitar at 12 years old, and this is when the musician mindset really kicked off.
Louden grew up surrounded by many genres of music, including but not limited to rock, metal, blues, and jazz. He specialized in jazz drums for 6 years, and received multiple awards and bursaries due to his high-level skillsmanship, attention to detail, and excellence. Although his music is often classified as rock, his direction and intent extends much further to exploring elements of jazz and blues.
With inspiration from legends such as 70’s English rock guitarist, Jeff Beck, American musicians, Paul Gilbert and Joe Satriani, and Canadian prog-rock band, Rush, he released his first album titled Supermassivity. It came out in 2024, making him 17 years old at the time of its debut. Other musicians whom have inspired him are John Bonham, Jimmy Page (all of Led Zeppelin honestly), Neil Peart (he even named his cat Neil!).
Quickly after the release, he began playing live shows at Winnipeg bars, summer events, concert venues, and festivals. He was interviewed at his debut show, where both the performance and discussion were captured and featured on Steinbach Online. Supermassivity (track) also saw heights when it was pulled into Guitar World’s 2024 May playlist.
About The Band
Although writing, recording, and producing all of his songs himself, he is currently accompanied by bass beast Daniel (DBon) Bonneteau from the rural Falcon Lake, Manitoba, and drum demon Oscar Brown from big city Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Together, the band has traveled throughout Manitoba and played venues such as Canada’s longest running country music festival, Dauphin’s Countryfest (2025), Winnipeg’s Osbourne Taphouse, Sidestage, and well-known Waterpark-centered Lilac Resort.
The band has come a long way since starting to play together. They’ve developed a signature “look” revolving around their green (Louden), orange (Daniel), and blue (Oscar) space suits, as well as including small black (kiwi) bird statues in their sets, often sitting atop amps. For certain venues and seasons they have switched it up (cowboy hats at Countryfest, and holiday lights/Santa hats/pajamas at Christmas shows, etc.).
